The Riverine Lodge is a small, authentic safari lodge in Welgevonden Game Reserve, created for guests who value stillness, beauty, and a more personal way to experience the bush. With only four chalets, the lodge offers a sense of intimacy that allows every stay to feel calm, attentive, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

The lodge’s setting is central to its identity. The river below, the warm tones of the sandstone cliffs, and the openness of the landscape shape an experience that feels both grounding and expansive. The Waterberg is one of the oldest mountain landscapes in South Africa, a place of deep valleys, open bushveld, flowing water, and ancient stone. With no city lights on the horizon, the night sky opens wide in quiet splendour. Here, creation speaks.
